About Lena Gieseke
Lena Gieseke (born September 12, 1965) is a German digital artist known for her work in visual special effects, particularly on the films “2012” (2009) and “Immortals” (2011). She began her career with her first film credit in 2008 on the German film “1 1/2 Ritter – Auf der Suche nach der hinreißenden Herzelinde.” Gieseke and the crew of “2012” received a nomination for Best Visual Effects at the 2010 Online Film & Television Association awards ceremony.
Gieseke was previously married to renowned film director Tim Burton before they divorced in 1991. She was born in Osnabruck, Germany.
