About LaVon Fisher-Wilson
LaVon Fisher-Wilson is a stage actress known for her work in both regional theater and on Broadway. She was born on August 17, 1973 in Kentucky.
Fisher-Wilson has amassed an impressive resume with over thirty regional theater credits and appearances in four Broadway shows, as well as an episodic and national tour. In addition to her stage work, she portrayed Big Momma in the television movie Teen Beach Movie.
Prior to achieving success as an actress, Fisher-Wilson attended YPAS, a performing arts high school in Louisville. She holds a BFA in musical theater from Millikin University and an MFA from the University of Florida.
A notable milestone early in her career was receiving her union card from The Hippodrome State Theater in Gainesville, Florida.
Fisher-Wilson is married to Darrell C. Wilson and together they have three children.
