Laurieann Gibson, born on July 14, 1969 in Toronto, Canada, is a choreographer best known for her work on music videos for artists such as Katy Perry, Sean Combs, Nicki Minaj, and Alicia Keys. She has won an MTV Video Music Award and received Emmy nominations for her choreography and directing. Prior to her success in the entertainment industry she also pursued a career as a hip hop musician and television host.
After studying at the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Laurieann became a leading choreographer for both Bad Boy Records and Motown Records. She gained fame through appearances on the MTV reality series Making the Band.
Laurieann Gibson spent her early life in Toronto before pursuing career opportunities in New York City and Los Angeles. She is currently married to record producer Andre Harrell.
