Laurie Nunn is a British screenwriter, producer, and director best known for her work on the Netflix series Sex Education. Born in London, England on January 1, 1986, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
Nunn’s career took off with the creation of Sex Education for Netflix, which she also produced and directed. She has written over half of the episodes for the popular series which premiered in January 2019.
Before gaining notoriety with Sex Education, Nunn had relatively few major credits to her name. However, her talent was evident from an early age. At only 14 years old, she relocated to Australia following her parents’ separation. This experience likely influenced her future storytelling abilities.
After returning to England, Nunn pursued formal education in film and television at the Victorian College of the Arts where she earned a BA degree in 2007. Subsequently, she continued her studies at England’s National Film and Television School and obtained an MA in screenwriting by 2012.
