About Lauri Hendler
Lauri Hendler is a television actress best known for her role as Julie Kanisky on the NBC sitcom Gimme a Break!. She was born in Virginia on April 22, 1965. In addition to her work on Gimme a Break!, she also played Hillary Flanagan on the ABC sitcom A New Kind of Family and voiced characters on the USA Network animated series Wing Commander Academy.
Hendler began her television acting career in the late 1970s with appearances in episodes of CHiPs, Lou Grant, and Three’s Company. She also competed on game shows such as Super Password and The $100,000 Pyramid. Hendler spent her early years in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and is married to real estate agent Steven Reizes.
