About Lauren Kate
Lauren Kate is a bestselling young adult author, born on March 21, 1981, in Dayton, Ohio. She is best known for her novels Fallen and Torment. Before becoming an author, she earned a master’s degree in fiction writing from the University of California.
In 2009, Lauren published her first novel in the Fallen series. Her inspiration for this series came from studying the Bible, particularly the book of Genesis. In addition to her popular series, she has also written The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove and Teardrop.
Lauren Kate grew up in Dallas, Texas and married singer-songwriter Jason Morphew in 2009. They have two children named Matilda and Vince.
