Lauren Holiday is a professional soccer player born on September 30, 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She began her career with the Pali Blues in 2009 and later joined FC Kansas City in 2013. Holiday has represented the U.S. women’s national soccer team since 2007 and has achieved success at major tournaments including winning gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics as well as the 2015 World Cup.
Prior to her professional career, she excelled at UCLA where she led the Pac-10 with 19 goals during her freshman year and received first-team All-American honors.
Holiday also played for the U.S. team in significant events such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2011 and contributed to their gold medal victory at the Olympics in 2012.
In July of that same year, she married NBA point guard Jrue Holiday and they have a daughter together.
