About Laure Manaudou
Laure Manaudou is a French Olympic swimmer, born on October 9, 1986, in Villeurbanne, France. She gained major attention at the 2003 European Short Course Championships and went on to win gold in the 400 meter freestyle at the 2004 Olympics. Manaudou has been dominant in the European Short Course and Long Course Championships, earning a total of 18 gold medals from 2004 to 2012. In addition to her Olympic success, she also set world records in the 400 meter freestyle in 2006 and the 200 meter freestyle in 2007.
Outside of her swimming career, Manaudou has a daughter named Manon with fellow swimmer Frederick Bousquet.
