Laura Wright (born September 11, 1970) is an American actress known for her work in soap operas. She gained fame for her role as Ally Rescott Bowman on the ABC soap Loving and has been playing Carly Corinthos on General Hospital since 2005. Wright also appeared in a cameo in the 2015 film Joy alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
Before rising to stardom, Wright was a passionate soap opera fan and participated in numerous plays during high school. In 2011, she was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance on General Hospital.
