Laura Ramoso is an Italian-German comedian known for her award-winning specials and satirical online videos. She was born on October 20, 1995, in Legnano, Italy. In 2019, she released her first special titled “Diane,” which earned her the Best New Show of the Year award at the Bad Dog Theatre and garnered attention at festivals across the country. It also became the first solo show to win the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival’s Best of the Fest award.
Prior to gaining fame as a comedian, Ramoso graduated from the University of Victoria with a BFA in Theatre. Her journey into comedy began when she attended a Second City show in Chicago in January 2017 and realized that sketch comedy was her true calling.
In 2022, she released another comedy special called “FRANCES.” Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ramoso turned to social media to continue creating content and has amassed over 850,000 followers on her lau_ramoso account featuring skit videos showcasing original characters and series such as German Mom, Italian Dad, and Girl who just got back from…
Ramoso’s personal life includes being married to Gaelan and having a mother who once served as a Medical Officer for the World Health Organization.
