She gained recognition as Madonna‘s personal make-up artist following a photo shoot with Vogue.Prior to her career in cosmetics, Mercier studied drawing and painting at L’Ecole Superieure d’Arts Appliques Duperre in Paris, France. In 1985, she worked as a makeup artist for Elle magazine.Mercier hails from Arles, France, where her passion for cosmetics and artistry took root.
