Laura Galan is a Spanish movie actress born on January 1, 1986, in Guadalajara, Castilla La Mancha, Spain. She began her acting career at a young age and garnered attention for her performances in the films Piggy, Cerdita, and Unknown Origins. Galan’s portrayal in Piggy earned her a Goya Award for Best New Actress.
She started her journey into the entertainment industry by joining a local theater near her home after making her debut in a school play. During college, she redirected from art history to drama and later obtained a diploma in Dramatic Art from the Arte4 School of Madrid. Initially focusing on stage productions and theater work early on in her career, she made her feature film debut with The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018).
In addition to acting, Galan has also worked as an assistant director and contributed to various theater projects behind-the-scenes. Apart from being recognized for horror films within the genre community, Laura enjoys them personally.
Galan comes from a family where both parents were involved in different professions;her father Teo was employed at a hospital while her mother was engaged as homemaker. She also has one younger brother named Javier. In 2017 she married director Patrick Bencomo Weber and they welcomed their son Teo into the world five years later – naming him after Laura’s father.
