Lana McKissack, born on June 5, 1984 in Los Angeles, California, is a YouTube star, actor, and filmmaker known for her self-titled channel where she posts vlogs, sketches and short films. She also has a second channel called MsMcKICKASS where she shares personal videos and behind the scenes footage.
Prior to her online success, Lana gained moderate recognition as a child actor in films such as The Magic Pearl and The Best Bad Thing. During her time at UCLA, she crossed paths with Chester See. At the age of 15, Lana signed a recording deal with Sony Records and released four singles; this brought her fame in Japan.
Lana was born in Los Angeles to parents from diverse backgrounds – her mother hails from Japan while her father is originally from Florida. She has two older sisters and married Nathan Moore in November 2012.
