Lady Miss Kier, born on August 15, 1963 in Youngstown, Ohio, is a pop singer and co-producer best known as the frontwoman of the house and dance group Dee-Lite. The group achieved success with their 1990 club hit “Groove is in the Heart.”
Before her music career took off, Lady Miss Kier studied fashion and textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. It was a chance meeting that propelled her into the world of music.
