About Kym Hampton
Kym Hampton, born on November 3, 1962 in Kentucky, is a former professional basketball player known for her time as a 6’2″ center with the New York Liberty in the WNBA and during her 12-year career playing in Europe. She was honored as the starting center in the inaugural WNBA All-Star Game held in 1999.
Prior to her professional career, Hampton excelled in both basketball and track at Iroquois High School in Louisville, Kentucky; she secured three state championships in shot put and established a state record during her senior year.
Beyond sports, she has also delved into modeling and appeared within publications like Glamour Magazine. Additionally, she was selected as one of Lane Bryant’s original models for their “V-Girls” campaign.
Hampton is one of seven children born to Joyce and Donald Hampton.
