About Kristina Smigun-vahi
Kristina Smigun-Vähi is an Estonian cross-country skier, born on February 23, 1977. She rose to prominence after winning two gold medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Prior to her Olympic success, she was a highly successful youth skier and received coaching from her father since a young age.
In addition to her Olympic achievements, she also secured a silver medal at the 2010 Olympics shortly before retiring from professional competition. In 2007, she married Kristjan-Thor Vahi and together they have two children; a daughter born in 2008 and a son born in 2009.
