About Koine Iwasaki
Koine Iwasaki is a Japanese dancer who gained recognition as a finalist on the fourteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance. She was born on June 26, 1997, in Japan and began her dance training at the age of 11 after being inspired by the second season of the same show. Graduating from the Somerset Academy Arts Conservatory, Iwasaki showcased her talent with an audition performance set to Noah Cyrus‘ “Make Me (Cry),” which earned her a standing ovation from the judges.
Before gaining fame on So You Think You Can Dance, Iwasaki worked as a backup dancer for Maluma during his Pretty Boy in the Dirty Boy World Tour. In addition to her successful career, she has an older brother and started dating professional dancer Kiki Nyemchek in 2017; they announced their engagement in November 2022.
