About Kiya Johnson
Kiya Johnson (born February 27, 2002) is an American artistic gymnast known for her achievements competing for the Louisiana State University Tigers starting in 2020. She was named the SEC Freshman of the Year and earned first team All-America honors on vault, floor exercise, and the all-around.
Before her collegiate career, Johnson trained at Texas Dreams Gymnastics and achieved notable success by earning second place on the vault and fifth place in the all-around at the Junior Olympic National Championships in 2015.
She has been lauded as SEC Freshman of the Week for four consecutive weeks in January 2020. Johnson is very close with her sister Kacy who also excels as a young athlete.
