Kiya Hawthorne is a pop singer, born on April 23, 2000, in Maryland. She gained recognition as a member of the pop girl group Riplay, alongside her sisters Shay and Lay Hebron. In December 2017, the group was signed to Def Jam Records and has achieved over 20,000 views on YouTube.
Prior to their music career taking off, Riplay garnered attention for their efforts to combat bullying and were acknowledged by Baltimore mayor Catherine Pugh for their advocacy work.
Riplay’s single “Strange” caught fire after they secured representation from management company Phantom Boyz. Kiya believes that the familial bond between the members gives them an advantage in maintaining longevity as a group.
