Kimono Mom, born on January 25, 1991 in Kyoto, Japan, is a former Geisha who has gained fame as a YouTube star. She is known for her cooking tutorials, vlogs and home videos which have garnered over 2.5 million subscribers and more than 599 million total views.
Kimono Mom posted her first YouTube video in February 2020 featuring a tutorial for making a deep-fried lotus root sandwich. Her channel reached 100,000 subscribers in August 2020. One of her notable videos is the tutorial for Japanese curry rice that surpassed one million views after being posted in May of the same year.
