Kim Yu-Jin, born on April 9th, 1988 in Daejeon, South Korea, is a pop singer and actress more commonly known by the name Uee. She gained prominence after joining the group After School in 2009 and has since appeared on TV shows such as Ojakgyo Family and Golden Rainbow.
Prior to her fame, Kim started her singing career with Five Girls in 2007 but the group disbanded shortly thereafter. Her television debut came in 2009 on the show Queen Seondeok.
In addition to her music and acting endeavors, Uee has participated in survival-based variety shows like Barefooted Friends and Law of the Jungle. Notably, she was also a high-level swimmer during high school.
Kim grew up alongside an older sister named Kim Yu-na while their father gained recognition as a professional baseball coach in South Korea.
