About Kim Roberts
Kim Roberts (born November 7, 1961) is an American poet and writer known for her poetry collections including Animal Magnetism, The Kimnama, and The Wishbone Galaxy. In 2009, she was honored with the Pearl Poetry Prize. Roberts graduated from Emerson College in Boston and earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona. Additionally, she has published several plays such as I’ll Give You Flowers and The Distressway.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Roberts later settled in Washington D.C., where she drew inspiration for her 2010 poetry collection Full Moon On K Street: Poems About Washington, DC.
