About Kerry Greenwood
Kerry Greenwood (born June 17, 1954) is an Australian novelist known for her popular Phryne Fisher series of historical mystery novels. She has also written the Corinna Chapman, Delphic Women, and Stormbringer books, as well as several standalone titles such as The Broken Wheel (1996), Cave Rats (1997), and Feral (1998).
Before embarking on her successful writing career, Greenwood earned bachelor’s degrees in English and Law from the University of Melbourne and worked as a defense attorney. Her debut novel, Cocaine Blues, was published in 1989.
In addition to her adult fiction works, she has penned young adult novels like The Three-Pronged Dagger (2002), which won the Davitt Award. Greenwood has received numerous accolades throughout her career including the Aurealis Award for The Broken Wheel and the Ned Kelly Award for lifetime contribution to crime writing.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia; Kerry Greenwood is long-term partner of David Greagg.
