Kelsey Nixon (born September 7, 1984) is a TV show host known for her work on the Cooking Channel and Food Network. She is best recognized as the host of “Kelsey’s Essentials” and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2013 in the Outstanding Culinary Host category. Additionally, she released her first cookbook, “Kitchen Confidence,” in February 2014.
Before gaining recognition as a TV show host, Nixon attended Brigham Young University where she created “Kelsey’s Kitchen,” a college cooking show focused on fast, fun, and affordable meals for college students.
Nixon gained widespread fame when she was voted a fan favorite competitor on the fourth season of Food Network Star. She was born in Logan, Utah but later moved to New York City where she resides with her husband Robby and their son Oliver.
