Kelly McCreary is an American TV actress, born on September 29, 1981 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is best known for her role as Maggie Pierce on the popular ABC series Grey’s Anatomy and as Tyra Dupre on The CW’s Emily Owens, M.D. McCreary has also appeared in episodes of Scandal, Castle, and White Collar.
Prior to gaining fame, she voiced the recurring character Kelly on PBS Kids’ Cyberchase and made her professional stage debut in the Broadway production of Passing Strange in 2008. Additionally, she had a small part in the film Being Flynn alongside Julianne Moore and Robert De Niro.
McCreary hails from Milwaukee but later relocated to New York City. Her parents are Geoffrey and Mary McCreary; she also acted alongside her sister Crystal in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
