About Kelly Hoppen
Kelly Hoppen, born on July 28, 1959 in South Africa, is a renowned interior designer. In September of 2014, she founded Studio Hoppen and has received numerous design awards throughout her career. In addition to her successful interior design endeavors, she became an investor on BBC Two’s Dragon’s Den show in 2013 and previously hosted the Channel 5 Design Series, Superior Interiors.
Hoppen’s career in design began at the age of 16 when she was given the opportunity to design a family friend’s kitchen. This experience launched her into the industry and set her on the path to success.
Throughout her career, Kelly Hoppen has achieved notable recognition for her contributions to interior design. She was honored with the NatWest Everywoman Ambassador award in December of 2013 and was included in Debrett’s list of the 500 Most Influential People. Additionally, she was made an MBE for her services to interior design.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Hoppen moved to England at a young age. Her father worked in fashion while both her mother and brother Michael are involved in running art galleries. Hoppen’s daughter Natasha Corrett is also known for authoring the book “Honestly Healthy: Eat with your body in mind – The alkaline Way.”
