Kelley Janae, born on November 11, 1996, is a guitarist from the United States. She has gained recognition for her work as one of the few female guitarists in the hip-hop genre. Janae’s breakthrough came when Chris Brown shared one of her videos on Instagram, which quickly garnered over one million views. Her talent has led her to share the stage with notable artists such as Gary Jenkins from R&B group Silk, country singer Keith Urban, and rapper Starlito.
Janae discovered her passion for playing the guitar at age 7 and began performing with local bands in Nashville by age 9. By the time she turned 12, she had already established herself as an accomplished instrumentalist.
Notably, Janae’s videos have been appreciated by Nicki Minaj and even caught the attention of Voletta Wallace (the mother of Notorious B.I.G.), who shared one of Janae’s tributes to the late rapper on his birthday in 2018.
