Kehlani, born on April 24, 1995 in Oakland, California, is an R&B singer who first gained recognition for her performance on America’s Got Talent with the band Poplyfe. Following this initial fame, she went on to record singles such as “Lonely in December,” “1st Position,” and “Raw & True.”
Before pursuing her singing career, Kehlani studied dance at the Oakland School for the Arts. She was very popular on Twitter but later chose to cancel her account and has since amassed over 14 million followers on Instagram.
Originally from Oakland, California, Kehlani later settled in Los Angeles after her father’s passing when she was young. Her aunt helped raise her and her cousin is rapper Clyde Carson.
