Kay Baxter (born October 3, 1945) was an American bodybuilder known for her success in the sport during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Born in Ohio, she initially pursued gymnastics at Kent State University before transitioning to bodybuilding in her thirties.
Baxter’s notable achievements include competing four times in the IFBB Ms. Olympia competition and winning the U.S. Women’s Championship for Bodybuilding in 1979. Her contributions to the sport were honored with posthumous induction into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2001.
Tragically, Kay Baxter passed away as a result of a car accident. Despite her untimely death, she is remembered for her impact on women’s bodybuilding and her lasting legacy within the sport.
