About Katya Jones
Katya Jones is a professional dancer known for her appearances on the BBC One series Strictly Come Dancing. Born Ekaterina Andreevna Sokolova on May 12, 1989 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she started dancing at the age of six and trained in ballroom, Latin-American dancing and gymnastics.
Jones joined Strictly Come Dancing in series 14 and went on to win series 15 with her partner Joe McFadden. She was born in Russia but later made Alton, Hampshire, England her hometown.
In 2013, she married fellow Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones. The couple announced their separation in 2019.
