Katy Jara is a pop and cumbia singer/songwriter born in Trujillo, Peru on April 6, 1985. She has gained fame through her singles like “Dejenme Sufrir,” “Cantinero,” and “Te Perdi Por Idiota.” Additionally, she has appeared in several telenovelas including Valiente Amor in 2016.
Prior to gaining recognition as a solo artist, Jara competed on the televised talent show program Super Star at the age of 18. Notably, she has also performed with the girl group Agua Bella.
Jara was born to Jeone Vasquez and is a mother to a daughter. In October 2019, she tied the knot.
