About Katy Jane Carmichael
Katy Jane Carmichael, born on March 5, 1970 in Liverpool, England, is an English actress known for her role in the sitcom ‘Bread’ which marked her professional acting debut. She gained further recognition for her role in the sitcom ‘Spaced’ and as a regular cast member of ‘Coronation Street’ from 2002 to 2003.
Prior to her acting career, Carmichael attended the University of Bristol where she pursued a degree in drama, television and film. Notably, she co-created ‘The Table Of Delights’, a participatory food-theatre show.
In addition to her television work, Carmichael appeared on a 2003 episode of ‘This Morning’. She married actor Tristan Sturrock in 2005 and they have a son and two daughters. Both of Katy’s parents were architects.
