About Katja Schuurman
Katja Schuurman is a Dutch television actress, born on February 19, 1975 in the Netherlands. She first gained prominence for her role as Jessica Harmsen on the long-running series Goede tijden, slechte tijden. She later went on to star in other series such as S1ngle and All stars: De serie, as well as feature films like Interview and Oysters at Nam Kee’s.
Her career began with a debut on the small screen in the 1992 television series Uit de school geklapt.
In addition to her acting career, Schuurman was part of the girl band Linda, Roos & Jessica alongside two other actresses from Goede tijden, slechte tijden during the 1990s. The group disbanded in 1999.
Schuurman’s father is Dutch and her mother is Chinese-Surinamese from Curacao. Her sister Birgit Sarrap is also a well-known Dutch singer. In 2006 she married actor Thijs Romer and had a daughter named Sammie in 2010 before divorcing in 2015.
