Katie Halper (born July 11, 1981) is an American film producer, comedian, writer, and blogger known for her work on films such as Embedded, Free to Fly, and Commie Camp. In addition to her film production work, she has contributed written pieces to publications including The New York Times, The Nation Magazine, Gawker, and The Huffington Post.
Halper graduated from The Dalton School and Wesleyan University before beginning her career as a stand-up comedian. She directed her first film La Memoria es Vaga in 2005 and has also been involved in the directing of Living Liberally and co-founding Laughing Liberally.
