Kathy Valentine (born January 7, 1959) is a bassist from Austin, Texas. She is best known for her time as the bass guitarist for the American pop group The Go-Go’s and as a co-founder of the band The Textones.
Valentine began playing the bass at sixteen and decided to pursue music professionally around the same time. She had one daughter with fellow musician Steven Weisburd.
In addition to her musical career, Valentine made headlines when she was asked to leave The Go-Go’s due to insulting remarks made on social media.
