About Kathy Reichs
Kathy Reichs, born on July 7th, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, is a renowned novelist and forensic anthropologist. She is best known for her bestselling crime novel Break No Bones (2006), as well as for other popular works such as Death du Jour (1999) and Grave Secrets (2002).
Prior to her successful writing career, Reichs earned a Ph.D. in Physical Anthropology from Northwestern University and held professorships at various universities including Northern Illinois University, the University of Pittsburgh, Concordia University, McGill University, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Reichs also served on the board of directors of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. In her personal life, she married Paul Reichs in 1968 and together they had a son named Brendan along with two daughters named Kerry and Courtney.
