About Kathryn Hulme
Kathryn Hulme, born on July 6, 1900 in San Francisco, California, was an American author and memoirist. She is best known for her bestselling biography “The Nun’s Story,” which was adapted into an award-winning film in 1959. Her other notable works include “The Undiscovered Country: A Spiritual Adventure” (1967) and “Desert Night” (1932).
Before gaining recognition for her biographical works, Hulme penned early literary pieces such as “We Lived as Children” (1938) and “Arab Interlude” (1930).
“The Nun’s Story” delves into the experiences of a Belgian nun who undergoes a crisis of faith after serving in the war-torn Congo region of Africa.
