Kathleen McGowan, born on March 22, 1963 in California, is a religious author known for her bestselling series of novels called The Magdalene Line. This Christian-themed series features the protagonist Maureen Paschal and includes titles such as The Book of Love (2009) and The Poet Prince (2010). In addition to her fiction work, she is also a self-help author and published The Source of Miracles: seven Steps to Transforming Your Life Through the Lord’s Prayer in 2009.
McGowan gained attention with her debut novel, The Expected One (2006), which was published in more than fifty languages. She has appeared on television programs such as Ancient Aliens and Bible Secrets Revealed on the History Channel.
She co-launched a radio show called The Spirit Revolution with her husband Philip Coppens, who is a Belgian-born writer and radio host. McGowan has publicly claimed that she is a direct descendant of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, sparking controversy.
