Katherine Thomas, also known by her stage name The Great Kat, was born on June 6, 1966 in Swindon, England. She is a renowned guitarist who is known for combining classical music with thrash metal and often performs in dominatrix outfits.
Before gaining fame as The Great Kat, she completed her education at the Julliard School on a scholarship and initially started out playing traditional classical music.
In addition to her musical career, Thomas has been recognized for her exceptional guitar skills and was named on the Fastest Shredders of All Time list by Guitar One magazine.
