Katharine Towne, born on July 17, 1978 in California, is known for her work in the entertainment industry. She is the daughter of screen actress Julie Payne and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Robert Towne.Before gaining recognition for her own career, she made appearances in late 1990s and early 2000s films such as She’s All That, The Bachelor, and Mulholland Drive. Her big screen debut was in the movie Girl (1998) and she played Riley Veatch in the 2000 NBC sitcom M.Y.O.B.Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Katharine comes from a family deeply rooted in Hollywood; not only were her parents involved in entertainment but her maternal grandparents – John Payne and Anne Shirley – were also prominent film actors.
