About Katharine Isabelle
Katharine Isabelle is best known for her roles in the Ginger Snaps film series and Freddy vs. Jason. She also starred as Mary in American Mary and Bree in Another Cinderella Story. Growing up in Vancouver, she started acting from a young age with small parts in Cousins Cold Front and MacGyver. When she auditioned for the role of Lori in Freddy vs. Jason, the director asked her to play Gibb instead – without knowing there was a nude scene involved! Katharine ended up hiring a body double for that part.
Katharine’s dad Graeme Murray was behind special effects on The X-Files, while her brother Joshua Murray used to be an actor before becoming a journalist. Her two furry friends are Apple and Spaghetti – both dogs! In 2008, she co-starred with Nicholas Campbell in the television movie The Englishman’s Boy which won Katharine a Gemini Award for playing Norma Carlyle.
