About Kate Henshaw
Kate Henshaw, born on July 19, 1971 in Nigeria, is a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry. She has built a successful career as a television and film actress with over 40 Nollywood films to her credit.
Prior to her acting career, Henshaw studied medical microbiology at Lagos University Teaching Hospital and worked at the Bauchi State General Hospital. In 1993, she made a significant shift by auditioning for the film “When the Sun Sets,” which marked the beginning of her acting journey.
Notably, she won an Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2008 for her performance in “Stronger Than Pain” and serves as a judge on Nigeria’s Got Talent.
In August 2015, Henshaw announced her political aspirations by running for a seat in Nigeria’s House of Representatives. Her decision was fueled by a desire to positively impact how her hometown of Calabar in Southern Nigeria was represented within the government.
Henshaw was previously married to Roderick James Nuttal before their separation after 12 years; they have one daughter together named Gabrielle Nuttal. Media speculation surrounded their split citing infidelity as one possible cause.
