About Kate Allen
Kate Allen (born April 25, 1970) is an Australian-born triathlete. She is best known for winning a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens while representing Austria.
Allen began her athletic career at a young age and used to run to primary school in the mornings. In addition to her Olympic success, she was chosen as Austria’s Sportspersonality of the Year in 2004.
In 1999, she married Marcel Diechtler.
