Kassi Ashton (born February 3, 1994) is an American country singer-songwriter from California, Missouri. Based out of Nashville, Tennessee, she signed with UMG Nashville/Interscope in December 2017 and released her first single in January 2018.
Before fame, Kassi Meisenheimer grew up listening to artists such as Amy Winehouse and Adele. She studied at Belmont University’s School of Music, and the title of her debut single “California, Missouri” pays homage to her hometown.
In addition to her solo work, Ashton has been featured on “Drop Top” by Keith Urban and opened for shows during Maren Morris‘ 2019 tour.
During a challenging period in her life, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2014 but successfully completed treatment by 2016.
A frequent user of YouTube for releasing music content, Ashton has garnered over 8,000 subscribers through live performances and music videos. Her family has also played a significant role in inspiring some of her songs – notably “Dates in Pickup Trucks,” influenced by memories with her grandparents.
She is currently involved in a long-term relationship with Nashville publishing executive Travis Myatt.
