About Karla Bonoff
Karla Bonoff is an American folk singer and songwriter born on December 27, 1951, in Santa Monica, California. She has released several albums including the popular “Restless Nights” in 1979. In addition to her solo career, she has written hit songs for other artists such as “Home” for Bonnie Raitt and “Tell Me Why” for Wynonna Judd.
Prior to her own musical success, Bonoff sang backup vocals for singers Linda Ronstadt and Wendy Waldman. She debuted with her self-titled album in 1977. Notably, her song “Somebody’s Eyes,” released in 1984, was featured on the soundtrack of the film Footloose.
Bonoff grew up in Santa Monica with her family.
