About Kari Barba
Kari Barba is a renowned tattoo artist best known as the longtime owner of the famous Outer Limits tattoo shop, located in Long Beach, California. Born on July 10, 1960, in Minnesota, she is widely considered a trailblazer in her field for being one of America’s first notable female tattoo artists and shop owners.
Barba began her career at age 19 and opened her first tattoo shop in Anaheim, California in 1983. She gained widespread recognition when she won first place in every category at the National Tattoo Association Convention in 1991.
Aside from her successful career as a tattoo artist and business owner, Kari has also ventured into family life. She married a man named Michael and they have a son named Jeremiah who has followed in his mother’s footsteps to become a tattoo artist himself.
