Karen Grassle, born on February 25, 1942 in Berkeley, California, is a TV actress best known for her role as the beloved mother in the Western TV drama “Little House on the Prairie”. Before her fame as Caroline Ingalls from 1974 to 1982 on NBC, Grassle graduated from Berkeley in Northern California and later attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She portrayed the character of Charles Ingalls’ wife.

In her personal life, Grassle has been married three times but each marriage ended in divorce.
