Kara Tointon, born on August 5, 1983 in Basildon, England, is an English TV actress. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Dawn Swann in the popular British soap opera EastEnders.
Prior to her acting career, Tointon grew up with her younger sister Hannah in Leigh-on-Sea and was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven. In 2009, she also worked as a model for Michelle for George underwear.
Additionally, Tointon was in a relationship with Artem Chigvintsev from 2010 until 2014.
