About Kanami Toono
Kanami Toono is a Japanese guitarist known for her work with the band Band-Maid. She was born on September 28, 1991, in Japan.
Before gaining recognition as a guitarist, Kanami started playing piano before transitioning to guitar. She was discovered by fellow band member Miku after a video of her playing guitar surfaced on YouTube.
Besides being part of Band-Maid, Kanami is also a member of the acoustic band Rice Cakes and Cheese where she plays the acoustic guitar. In an interview with JRock website, she mentioned Carlos Santana as one of her major influences in playing the guitar.
