Kaitlyn Farrington was an Olympic gold medallist in the snowboarding halfpipe event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. She beat out some pretty tough competition to take home the top prize and make history as the first female snowboarder to land a backside 900. Hailing from Hailey, Idaho, Kaitlyn had plenty of support from her family who were willing to sacrifice their cattle ranch for her dream of making it big on the slopes! Kaitlyn made Idaho proud when she shared her podium with fellow local snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg.
